Project General Description

The present project relates to the feasibility study for a 200 megawatts concentrating solar power plant. It consists of (1) the procurement of consultancy services for preparation of the feasibility study and (2) the preparation of feasibility study of Concentrating Solar Power Plant. The expected outputs of the project include the following: i) technical design and technical performance analysis; ii) draft feasibility study of concentrating solar power; iii) final feasibility study of concentrating solar power; iv) progress reports.

Project Objectives

The project aims to source consultants to prepare a feasibility study for a 200 MW concentrating solar power plant (CSP) to assist the Government utilise solar energy ressource towards achieving low carbon economic growth in the country.


The main beneficiaries of the project the Government and the Botswana population.
