Project General Description

The present support project fits in the framework of the country program for the promotion of decent work initiated by the Government of the Republic of Cabo Verde. It is intended to contribute in the medium term to the reduction of the unemployment and under-employment rate among young people. The support is intended mainly to develop vocational training by apprenticeship and to promote entrepreneurship among young people. The pilot intervention will thus be achieved through the three components below: (I) the development of vocational training by learning for young people; (ii) the promotion of the integration of young people through entrepreneurship; and (iii) the support to the steering and management of the project.

Project Objectives

The general objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the employment situation of young people through a better control of professional training and support to their professional insertion.


The final beneficiaries of the project are the populations (men and women) of the Republic of Cabo Verde.
