The present study is realised as part of the development of the national rural water supply and sanitation program by 2030 to support the Government of Djibouti. It's the preparation phase for the implementation of the Initiative for the Provision of Drinking Water and Sanitation in Rural Areas (RWSSI) in Djibouti. The study aims to contribute to the sustainable satisfaction of drinking water and sanitation needs, in order to improve the socio-economic and health conditions of the rural populations through the realization of the national program. Subsequently, the program should provide an enhanced framework for effective water and sanitation sector coordination, planning and management of increased investments in the sector.
The sector objective is to contribute to the sustainable satisfaction of drinking water and sanitation needs in order to improve the socio-economic and health conditions of rural populations by implementing the prepared National Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Programme by 2030.
