The present intervention concerns the Technical Studies of the Pedagogical and Architectural Programmes of the project to create the new “Lycée d'Enseignement Professionnel (LEP)”. The project to create the future LEP with a capacity of about 1000 students is a priority for the Government. In-depth technical studies must first be undertaken to better understand the country's real labor and employment needs. The implementation of the LEP should make it possible to meet any national and regional needs for experienced technicians in order to create an appropriate training situation, which can evolve, so that it can, in particular, eventually lead 60% of young Djiboutians to receive training in technical or vocational education. The project has two components, namely: (a) the creation of a Vocational High School to replace the current LEP; and (b) the strengthening of the Project Implementation Office, which should monitor the implementation of the LEP to be created.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen and improve the country's technical and vocational education.
The main beneficiaries of the project are students, teachers, parents and the Government.
