This intervention relates to the Electricity Project IV. It aims to improve people's living conditions and boost economic and social development. This project contributes to improving the quality of customer service and the environment and living conditions of the population. It should enable the rehabilitation and extension of the 30 and 10 kV MV and 10 kV networks, the construction of 5205 MV/LV distribution substations, the construction of 4925 km of LV lines and the connection of 4,500 new MV and 345,000 LV customers.
The objectives of the project are to improve the quality of electricity supply service, meet new MV and LV connection demands and increase the country's electrification rate from 92% in 1992 to 96% in 1998.
The project benefits economic operators and individuals, the economy and the populations of the regions affected by the new connections.
