The present relates to the Polyester Filament Project II. The first polyester filament project was completed in 1985 and had a capacity of 11 tons per day. The present second part is designed to produce polyester filament of lower denier per filament, and to raise the polyester filament production by 11 tons per day, aiming at doubling the capacity of the first phase. The project comprises six (06) components namely: 1) Civil works (plant) and equipment; 2) Spare parts for 2 years; 3) Training and technical assistance; 4) Supervision and start-up; 5) Interest under construction; and 6) Working capital.
The goals of the project are to save foreign exchange, create employment and enhance the transfer of know-how and new technology that is necessary for the development of the Egyptian textile industry.
The direct beneficiary of the projet is Misr Rayon Company. In addition, the project should reach young people through job creation and the other sections of the Egyptian population.
