Project General Description

The present project which relates to the two Canals Studies aims to investigate the short and long-term effects of irrigation. These studies comprises two main components namely: (i) Ismailia Canal Rehabilitation phase II, (km 28- km 128): feasibility and detailed engineering design and preparation of tender documents. (ii) Dikhelia Port-Nobaria Canal Construction: feasibility and detailed engineering design and preparation of tender documents.

Project Objectives

The project's objective is to investigate the short and long-term effects of irrigation with drainage water on the soil, crops, natural habitat and the environment.

Beneficiaries

The main beneficiary of these studies are the Government of Egypt.
