The present project relates to study on improving the operational efficiency of existing thermal power plants in Egypt. It's initiated by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt with is supported by African Development Bank Group. The project includes two components comprising: a) consultancy services to undertake the fore-mentioned study on power plant efficiency in Egypt; and b) Audit.
The principal objective of the study is to identify opportunities for the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), improve the efficiency, reliability, availability, output and operating life of one or two of its existing steam-cycle thermal power plants. The findings of the Study should then be applicable to other thermal power plants in the country.
The main beneficiaries of the project are Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC).
