The present project relates to the Solar Heat and Conservation Energy Study. It's initiated by the Governement of Egypt with the support of the African Development Fund. The project comprises four main phases namely: (i) Feasibility study; (ii) Preparation of Engineering Design and Tender Documencs for pilot plant; (iii) Construction and testing of the pilot plant ; and (iv) Formulation of the methodology for application and dissemination of the technology.
The objective of the study is to determine the technical feasibility and economic viability of Solar Heat and Waste Heat Recovery technologies to meet the energy needs of process heat in Egyptian industries.
The main beneficiaries of the study are the Government of Egypt and the Egyptian industries.
