The objectives of the project were to increase the traffic carrying capacity of the Ghana Railway Corporation and therby improve its revenue earning capacity. These were achieved by improving managerial efficiency, particulary in operations, maintenance and financial management, and by the provision of the necessary equipment for the management to carry out its work.
