The present intervention concerns the Tourism Master Plan Study. The outcome of the study should be a comprehensible and detailed Development Master Plan covering the entire tourism sector of the Gambia. The study comprises three main phases. The first phase involves the preparation of a diagnostic study. The second phase consists of the preparation of a detailed Master Plan Study on all aspects of the sector, and the third comprises the preparation of an action plan for the development of the sector.
The major objective of the Study is to undertake a thorough review of the tourism industry in The Gambia with a view to formulating suitable policies and strategies for the development of the sector within short, medium- and long-term periods for the planning period of up to 2021.
The main beneficiaries of the study are the administrative authorities and stakeholders in the field of tourism.
