The studies planned for this project are part of the plan to maximize the use of national energy resources for, among others, rural electrification, using micro hydro-electric power plants, isolated areas of the country that can not benefit for a long time, because of their distance from ONE's national network. To do this, studies will first focus on the general inventory of sites located near rural agglomerations likely to be equipped with small hydraulic units. They will be followed by summary technical studies, the selection of works according to criteria of technical feasibility, of socio-economic and financial interest, and will end with detailed technical studies of selected works.
The Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, through the National Office of Electricity (ONE), will benefit directly from the project.
