The present intervention focuses on the support project for strengthening supervision and control of financial markets (PARSCMF). It's designed by the Kingdom of Morocco with the support of the African Development Bank Group. The project comprises two components, namely: (i) information governance within the Moroccan securities regulator (Conseil Déontologique des Valeurs Mobilières (CDVM)) consisting in understanding the existing information and then defining an Information Management policy based on an analysis of the existing; (ii) the automation of information management and control consisting in the implementation of the financial markets information management strategy defined in the first part.
The project comprises the following main objectives: a) strengthening of the control and monitoring system for financial information; b) the improvement of the quality of the services of the CDVM to all stakeholders in the capital markets; and c) support for developments in the financial center and the diversification of financial instruments.
The project directly benefits the Moroccan securities regulator (Conseil Déontologique des Valeurs Mobilières (CDVM)) and the entire financial system of the country. In addition, the final beneficiaries of the project are the Moroccan populations.
