This project is a technical support of UA 380,800 from the African Development Bank Group to the Kingdom of Morocco for the development of a decision-making information system for the health map. It comprises five main axes of interventions: (I) analysis, design and modeling of the health map information system ; (ii) development of the health map information system ; (iii) migration, formatting, and integration of existing health map data; (iv) testing and implementation of the new health map information system ; (v) training and transfer of skills. The technical support consists mainly in the recruitment of a consultancy firm that will be in charge of the design and development of the above referred tool.
The project's objectives are: (i) improving the availability and access to the information relating to health care for health professionals, Moroccan citizens and investors in the health care field; (ii) providing policy makers with a sound decision support tool ; (iii) enabling health professionals to share the same health information and provide reliable data at all levels of the health system (public and private) to ensure equitable distribution of resources between urban and rural areas, between regions and within each region; (iv) improving the skills of health professionals who may use the planification tools for health care services and clinical decision support.
The main beneficiaries are: the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, the Ministry of Health, health professionals, the populations.
