This project is a study on growth and its implications for employment in Morocco. The related activities will take place in 3 essential phases. Phase 1 will diagnose the impact of the growth pattern on employment. Phase 2 will focus on identifying current and predictable constraints for inclusive and employment generating growth. Phase 3 will address the recommendations, the elaboration of a study action plan, and the design of a monitoring system for the action plan's implementation. The time provided for the study is 7 months. Other activities will include organizing a seminar to disseminate the study's results and conducting an audit of the project.
The objective of this project is to increase knowledge on favorable conditions for inclusive growth in order to influence and guide the development of Government reforms. In particular, this project will: (i) offer a better visibility of the implications of the economic growth plan for employment; and (ii) provide, using a prospective approach, options for institutional promotion of employment and better integration of employment issues in public policies.
The main beneficiary of this intervention is the Government of Morocco.
