This project is part the African Development Bank Group’s assistance to strengthen governance and economic policies in the Kingdom of Morocco. It is specifically aimed at supporting the services of the Head of the Government for the implementation and operationalization of an internal structure to shed light on key issues relating to economic policies and public reforms. The proposed intervention through this support is divided into in three components. The first one involves the identification of operational practical modalities of the monitoring structure and its action plan. The second one is focused on the mobilization of specific expertise for the operationalization of the new structure; and the third one focuses on communication issues.
The objectives pursued are: (i) monitoring and analyzing indicators of the Moroccan economy in coordination with the various national authorities; (ii) carrying out studies and analysis in the economic, social and environmental fields in order to inform decision-makers regarding main reforms to be implemented; (iii) monitoring the implementation of public policies, identifying potential problems and suggesting appropriate solutions; (iv) providing strategic intelligence in the economic and financial fields; and (v) facilitating dialogue between the public, private operators, the academic world and civil society on keys issues of the Moroccan economy.
The main beneficiaries are the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, private operators, the academic world and civil society.
