The project aims at: a) improving the water supply system in 30 district centres including a regional capital, 3 forestry stations and 3 national park centres; b) providing new water supply systems in 4 district centres and 2 forestry stations; c) improving the three regional water maintenance depot; d) providing vehicles and plant for direct labour, design and construction of 28 of the schemes; e) completing the conversion of metric system of existing water meters and purchase of additional meters; and f) provision of technical assistance to the Water Department of the Ministry of Works and Supplies.
