The present operation concerns the humanitarian emergency relief support to the victims of the 2002 flood. It aims to prevent loss of human life and maintain the nutritional status of the population affected by the flood in the seven most-hit districts. The program should provide financial ressources to alleviate the suffering of about 100,000 persons affected by the floods in the Central and Northern regions of Malawi.
The overall goal is to provide financial resources to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the floods. The specific objectives is to improve the nutritional status of the population in the seven districts most-affected by the flood.
The beneficiairies of the programme are the persons affected by the floods in the Central and Northern regions of Malawi.
