Project General Description

The Support Project for the Improvement of Economic Programming, Institutional Management and the Business Framework follows a grant from the Transition Support Facility of the African Development Bank Group to the Republic of Chad. The Project comprises the following components: Component 1: Financing the preparation of the donors' roundtable. This component consists of two (2) components, the first of which is support for the preparation of the donors' round table (preparation, printing and translation of documents, communication and advocacy) and the second focuses on support for the implementation of the National Development Plan 2017-2021. Component 2: Capacity building of the control and consular bodies, which is organized around three (3) sub-components. The first sub-component focuses on Capacity Building of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts. The second is support for the National Assembly. At the level of the third sub-component, support is directed towards the Court of Auditors.

Project Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the promotion of economic emergence in Chad. Specifically, the project aims to: (i) present to the international economic and financial community the economic opportunities offered by Chad; (ii) identify and mobilize the support of the donor community; (iii) rraw their attention to the challenges and challenges facing the country; (iv) improve the capacities of the various control bodies, notably the National Assembly, the Court of Auditors and the Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Crafts, whose role will be important in the implementation of the programs and projects of the plan national development.

Beneficiaries

The main beneficiary of the project is the Government of the Republic of Chad.
