The Vulnerable Women Financial Inclusion Support Project (PAIFFV) has been designed by the Togolese Government with the support of the African Development Bank Group. It is part of three initiatives launched by the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), and aims to reach more vulnerable people. PAIFFV has three components, namely: (i) support to the Ministry of Social Action, Advancement of women and Literacy, and vulnerable women capacity building ; (ii) support for the establishment of an inclusive financing mechanism; and (iii) support project coordination and management.
PAIFFV aims to achieve the following main objectives: (i) strengthening the Togolese institutions’ capacity to develop gender-responsive programming; (ii) improving the skills of vulnerable women and their participation in economic activities; (iii) improving their access to financing, and thus contribute to improving their financial inclusion.
The project's beneficiaries are women living with HIV/AIDS, women with obstetric fistula, women porters, women with disabilities, women widows, etc.
