The institutional support project directly concerning the Togo Ministry of Planning and Mines, which has a multisectoral mission, affects all regions of the country. The institutional support project comprises six (6) components one of which is meant to ensure the proper implementation of the project. The components are as follow: (i) the provision of technical assistance made up of three experts; (ii) training of local staff; (iii) the construction of two regional planning directorates at DAPAONG (Savanna Region) and TSEVIE (Central Region); (iv) the supply of logistic resources including three vehicles, computer equipment and office equipment; (v) engineering designs and supervision of construction works; (vi) operating costs.
The purpose of the institutional support project is to assist the Government to continue its efforts at improving macro-economic management capacity and promoting a harmonious development. This involves: (i) control of the project cycle and of public investments programming; (ii) a better formulation of development strategies and sectoral and regional policies.
The project main beneficiary is the Togo Government.
