The study aims to develop Tunisia's institutional capacity to influence the upward trend of road accidents and associated costs. It will broaden the framework for reflection by assisting the Government of Tunisia in developing a comprehensive and multidimensional road safety strategy, from which will emerge a two-level action plan. The first actions, in the short term, will aim to slow down the number of deaths and injuries, and the following will aim at reversing durably the harmful effects of road insecurity, to halve the number of deaths on the horizon 2020.
