The project to support the operationalization of the public procurement reform action plan was initiated by the Government of the Republic of Tunisia with the support of the African Development Bank Group. This project has three components, including: (1) support for the implementation of actions of the public procurement system; (2) capacity building and information system; and (3) audit of the project.
This project has the following main objectives: (i) Strengthen the public procurement system to improve the management of public resources; (ii) Strengthen in particular the capacities of the High Authority for Public Contracts (HAICOP), the National Coordination and Monitoring Committee (CNCS) and the National Observatory of Public Procurement (ONMP); (iii) Put the national public procurement system at the level of international standards in terms of integrity, transparency and efficiency.
The main beneficiary of the project is the Government of the Republic of Tunisia through national structures such as the High Authority of Public Contracts (HAICOP), the National Committee for Coordination and Monitoring (CNCS) and the National Observatory of Public Procurement ( NOPP).
