Project General Description

The Uganda-Tanzania Road Project (Masaka-Mutukula-Kyaka-Bugene-Kasulo-Kumunazi) is the main project that will link Uganda and Tanzania. The grant will finance the Project Preparation Phase of three (3) key Multinational Road Sections between Masaka in Uganda to Kumunazi in Tanzania. It covers 89.5 kilometers of the Masaka to Mutukula road section in Uganda, a section of 30 kilometers from Mutukula to Kyaka linking to another section of 133 kilometers from Bugene to Kasulo to Kumunazi in Tanzania.

Project Objectives

The purpose of the Grant is to finance the Project Preparation Phase of the proposed three (3) key Multinational Road Sections between Masaka in Uganda to Kumunazi in Tanzania.

Beneficiaries

The ultimate beneficiaries of the project are the populations of the two countries and the sub-region in general, as well as road users.
