Project General Description

This project focuses on achieving preparatory activities for the second Phase of San Pedro Port Expansion Project and on improving its land links with neighboring countries (Guinea, Mali and Liberia). These preparatory activities, whose total cost is estimated at USD 2,000,000, are divided into five main components, namely: (i) conducting detailed studies of planned developments (detailed design and tender documents for civil works); (ii) organizing validation workshops for the study reports; (iii) capacity building; (iv) organizing round tables for donors; (v) auditing the accounts of the study project.

Project Objectives

This project aims to: (i) transform the Port Authority of San Pedro (PASP) into a transhipment port; (ii) improve PASP's supply chain facilities and quality of services; (iii) strengthen regional integration in West Africa and facilitate intra-regional trade in the ECOWAS region.
