The objective of the proposed TA is to strengthen SHAF's capacity to promote the provision of sustainable housing on the continent. A strengthened SHAF will be better positioned to support increased participation of the private sector in the housing sector, a necessary condition if the housing problem on the continent is to be addressed. The Company will also me able to engage in increased policy dialogue with member states in a bid to eliminate bottlenecks in housing development.
