This project supports the countries of the Mano River Union and Côte d'Ivoire as part of their HIV / AIDS control program. This program focuses on three (3) major outcomes: (i) reducing the incidence of STIs / HIV / AIDS; (ii) improved health outcomes for refugees, internally displaced persons and their host communities (especially women) in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Côte d'Ivoire; (iii) reduction of personal health and poverty expenditures among project beneficiaries. The proposed support is structured around two components: (i) strengthening prevention, care and treatment of HIV / AIDS / STDs; (ii) promoting multisectoral and subregional coordination of activities.
The objective of the project is to prevent, control and manage HIV/AIDS and related sexually transmitted diseases among refugees, IDPs and their host communities in the Mano River Basin Countries and Côte d’Ivoire.
The intended Project beneficiaries are women, children, farmers and the displaced people.
