The Project to Support the Socio-Economic Reintegration of Youth and Women (PARSEJF) is a technical assistance to strengthen social cohesion in the Great Lakes region. This assistance focuses on strengthening the institutional capacities of the International Conference of the Great Lakes (ICGLR) and the three beneficiary countries of the project (Central African Republic, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo) in the field of socio-economic reintegration of youth and empowerment of women. This intervention concerns the support of an amount of Seven Hundred and Seventy Thousand Units of Account (UA 770,000) from the African Development Fund to the Government of the Republic of Burundi for the implementation of the project.
The main objective of this project is to contribute to the restoration of social cohesion in the Great Lakes region. Specifically, it aims to promote the socio-economic integration of vulnerable groups (young people and women) and guarantee their access to basic services in the post-conflict context by supporting the capacity building of the International Conference of the Great Lakes (ICGLR) and the three beneficiary countries of the project (Central African Republic, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo).
The main beneficiaries of the project are the people of Burundi, in particular young people and women.
