The proposed project is an institutional support to the National Program for Capacity Building (PANPURC) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project is structured around the following four (4) components: (i) strengthening of the institutional framework for coordinating macroeconomic and sectoral policies and reforms; (ii) strengthening the management of the public debt, both domestic and foreign; (iii) support to the participatory process of preparing the poverty reduction strategy; and (iv) management and monitoring of the National Capacity Building Program. The expected deliverables of the project consist of a strengthened institutional framework for policy coordination and macroeconomic and sectoral reforms, improved management of domestic and external public debt, and a participatory process for preparing the poverty reduction strategy.
The sectoral objective of the project is the strengthening of national development management capacities. The specific objective is to strengthen national capacities for coordination and macroeconomic and sectoral management.
The Government, the services and personnel of the ministries and economic administrations, the population are the beneficiaries of the program.
