Project General Description

The present project is designed to support the Government of Zimbabwe in obtaining the services of a Procurement Expert for Zimbabwe Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) which role is to provide significant support for its development priorities, especially in infrastructure sectors, during this period when the country is still in arrears to both bilateral and multilateral donors. This project is initiated because of the need of a highly experienced procurement expert to be part of the MDTF Management Unit (“MMU”). The MDTF Management Unit is responsible among other activities for the identification, appraisal, and supervision and monitoring of the implementation of the projects financed by the MTDF still call "Zim-Fund". The purpose of the Zim-Fund is to contribute to early recovery and development efforts in Zimbabwe by mobilizing donor resources and promoting donor coordination so as to channel financial assistance to such efforts.

Project Objectives

The objective of the assignment of the expert is to provide procurement technical assistance to the Management Unit (“MMU”) during the implementation of the projects financed by the Zim-Fund.


The Zimbabwe Multi-Donor Trust Fund Management Unit is the main beneficiary of the projet.
