Project Objectives

The expected outcomes are improved security, reduced SGBV, improved income and access to viable economic livelihood activities, increased access to potable water, sanitation and hygiene services, and increased hours of study for school pupils in the refugee camp and host communities. This will be achieved through the following output level results: i. public lighting installed in the camp and schools, ii. solar kiosks and mobile phone charging stations supplied, iii. toilets built for vulnerable communities, iv. solar powered boreholes constructed for schools, v. water tanks and stands constructed for refugees and host communities, vi. seed capital provided for youths micro-enterprises, vii. irrigations scheme established for refugees and host communities, viii. services of technical assistance to support youth micro-enterprises, safety net activities and agriculture extension services procured, ix. awareness campaigns conducted and training of focal persons done, and x. youths equipped with solar lighting maintenance skills.
