The present project is a stand-alone institutional support program designed to support the Government of Zimbabwe in strengthening the results-based monitoring and improvement system, the efficiency of public and parastatal enterprises. This type of operation was selected to address Zimbabwe's critical capacity building needs to improve program performance and monitoring, as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of public resources. Its total estimated cost, net of taxes, duties and duties, is UA 3.32 million. The timetable for implementing this program is planned for the period 2017-2019. The operation has three mutually reinforcing components, namely: (i) improving the governance of public enterprises; (ii) the integrated results-based management system; and (iii) support for project management.
The objective of the program is to strengthen results-based management in all government structures and increase the efficiency of public and parastatal enterprises.
The direct beneficiaries of the project are crown corporations or public and parastatal enterprises, the Public Enterprise Restructuring Agency and the Ministry of Macroeconomic Planning, as well as other ministries that will benefit from better results based management combined with transparent and accountable planning and budgeting.
